  4. What time are you playing at the Lake, McPherson, Kansas on Saturday? Is it a private party? It was great to hear and see you at Salina on Thursday night. Our apologies for all of the rude conversations competing with you at The Paramount.

  6. Hi Guys! Was great seeing you guys perform again this time in Story, Wyoming. Had been a few years and when I saw you guys were going to be there we headed up for the road trip from Casper. Always love a road trip!!! Carl, I was moved by your music from the start and have always tried to make your shows. As the saying goes, ‘Things get better with age’ fit BlindDog to a (Funkin)T… You all play with the deep down spirit that only comes naturally from your souls. Magnificent group of talent up on that stage who performed their hearts out in Story! BlindDog Smokin emits tons of energy and you draw the audience together with some emotional bond, kinda has ya falling in love all over again with your partner feeling. Look forward to next summer when hoepfully you return to Casper area. Please, if you guys ever need a place to stay up this way know your all welcome at our home we have plenty of rooms. Can always reach us thru this email. Hope the world is treating you well..,CHEERS! Damon & Tammy Wingett (all the way from Casper)

P.S. Next time hope you have some T-shirts and up the size of the panties!! Big Girls are Beautiful!!!!!!!!! haha

  9. Hi guys. I saw you in Butte Montana a few years ago and then lost track of you. I was surprised (pleasantly!!) to see your new web site and it looks great! I’m sure the new version of the band is excellent, I can’t imagine Carl accepting anything other than excellence. If you ever get in the Butte area again, please let me know and I’ll be there. Keep on rockin’ them blues!!

  13. I’ve been a fan for years and have three or four of your CDs. Seems like a lot of water has gone under the bridge with the band. I heard something about a bad accident - what happened? I haven’t seen you perform in ten years or more and am sorry I missed your recent tour through Wyoming - I live in Denver. Are you planning to come to Denver at any point in the future? Is there a mailing list I can sign up for? Your cover of “House of the Rising Sun” is my favorite of all covers! Saw you perform it live the first time I saw you play and it was a religious experience. Thanks for the grooves.

  14. Hello Blind Dog, Dave and Sarah from Norwich, England stopping in to say hello. We know Oli from our local gigs in Norwich, and if you go to puppetwomanoftavira on my space, I have put on my photos of Oli locally, plus other ones of the local music scene here. Keep on rockin!!!!!

  15. It’s good to see all the support and positive feedback for the Blinddogs here. I had a great run with the band for 12 years and I’m glad their new members are such great players. Unfortunately I’ve had to leave the band since I need to play full time and the Dogs have only played about 6 weeks out of the year for the past couple years. For any of you that may be interested, I’ve formed a new band called Mojambus. We have two short CDs out and are constantly writing and recording new material, with plans for a full length CD and DVD early next year. Up to date gig information can be found at our myspace site: http://www.myspace.com/mojambus

Also, of possible interest for longtime Blinddog fans, Andy Miller, the original Blinddog bassist, is playing gigs these days in an acoustic duo based out of Denver called the Alltunators. http://www.myspace.com/alltunators

Possibly, one or both of these bands will play a show or two with Blinddog on the Dogs’ short tour next summer. Keep your eyes and ears open.

  19. “Hey, yous guys are great!” No, seriously, I saw you at the Blues Festival in Tulsa like 5 years ago, and became a total convert immediately, along with my two kids. I am sure you have heard this a million times, but your rendition of House of the Rising Sun puts me away! The best ever! I am a real snob about my Blues, like the old time guys and girls, so whether or not you believe this, it is a REAL freakin compliment for me to like you this much. Now the gripe, I have not been able to find an album with House of the….. on it, also, you need to offer samples of your albums on your website, not enough that anyone could pirate, but people who have’nt bought your music, just have not heard it yet, I am convinced of that. Keep on wailin’ the blues! Best of Luck Guys. Your fan in Oklahoma, Linda

  27. Hi,
I remember your band Carl playing at the “Dusk til Dawn” blues festival in Rentiesville, Arkansas in 199?.
After that I thought you guys moved to CA. Didn’t that work out so good? Seems like you’re back in WY (a beautiful state, by the way). I moved on too, from Phoenix, AZ to the gorgeous Big Island of Hawaii. So, if you want a gig in Hawaii, just let me know, and I could put you in touch with a couple of bars there. Aloha, Jill Smith

  41. hope you guys are doing well. I just read where D.C. Minner passed away on May 6, 2008. I don’t know if Selby will keep the Down Home Blues Fest going or not. D.C. was one hell of a contributer to teaching local school kids how to play and the art of the blues.

Hope I see you guys soon and if you are in the area you always have a place to stay and a grub stake.

  42. I am so happy to see you are still around!!! I used to frequent your shows a few years ago. Went to Sturgis, too! Have pictures? (I do). Don’t think we missed a show for a LONG time (years)! My friend was the one who drug me to my first show. I was hooked from then on! Carl and Chuck, remember Sarah B. (Colorado)? Roland came along later, but still have Rolie memories! I am not there anymore, but would LOVE to see another show!!! There are no venues listed. You can’t be done yet! Sarah B…if you see this call me.

  43. Carl,
It’s way past my bedtime these days, but I was digging through my old press and promo stuff and opened up an article you wrote about me probably 10 years ago. You write fabulously, for one, and for another, what you wrote was such a “down to the center of my being” gift. And I got to receive it all over again sitting here tonight. You just don’t ever get to really know what your touch in another person’s soul is going to do to heal or lift them up. I just wanted to say thank you before I went off to bed. Bless you, and thank you. The folks who are producing a show of mine may post the article, or part of it on that web site.

for now… Good night and many blessings to you.
